OBITUARY Frontman Checks In From South America

April 26, 2008

OBITUARY singer John Tardy has issued the following update from the band's current tour of South America:

"Just when I say Santiago could have been the best show of the tour, our fans in Venezuela really show up for us and it was just an amazing show. This was our first time to Venezuela and I have no idea why we waited so long to get there. What a show. We actually played inside a bull-fighting ring. Sick! The fans were absolutely crazy!

"Once again no sleep last night. We left the show around 1:00 am and had a three-hour drive back to the airport. Our flights to Bogata left at 6:00 am but, we made it here and are ready for a good show tonight. We have never been to Columbia either, so I am really looking forward to tonight's show. Bogata, we will see you tonight!!! AAAAAHHHHHHHH!!

"Tomorrow is our last show and it is in Ecuador. You may have read in the news about a club there that caught on fire and killed at least 14 people. We never like hearing anything like that and our thoughts are with those families. Because of this our show has been moved, but we are still playing."

OBITUARY and UNLEASHED will team up for a U.S. tour in September/October. Support on the trek will come from San Diego death metallers CARNIFEX.

Tickets for all shows are now on sale through EnterTheVault.com exclusively until May 21, at which point tickets will be made available through all normal ticketing systems.
