November 21, 2006

OBITUARY frontman John Tardy has posted the following message on the band's official web site:

"This [past] weekend at the Monterrey Metal Fest in Mexico was a blast! We really appreciate all of our Mexican fans that came out, they really showed us a good time and anytime we get to hang out with our good friends in SADUS and DEICIDE it is awesome!"

John Tardy recently did a live interview with VM Underground, discussing the band's history and the group's upcoming live DVD. The interview is available for download at this location.

As previously reported, Metal Mind Productions has set a November 27 release date for OBITUARY's first-ever DVD, entitled "Frozen Alive". The DVD, which was filmed on August 24 at the Stodola Club in Warsaw, Poland, will include a seven-camera shoot of the show plus an interview conducted the day before the gig, on August 23. It will be issued as a regular DVD and limited edition DVD+CD. More information is available at this location.

OBITUARY's latest CD, "Frozen in Time", was released in July 2005 via Roadrunner Records. The group's first collection of new songs since 1997's "Back from the Dead" was self-produced by the band, with Mark Prator and Scott Burns engineering, and was mastered by Tom Morris at Morrisound.
