OBITUARY Guitarist Launches Barbecue Sauce Line

November 11, 2009

Guitarist Trevor Peres veteran Florida death metallers OBITUARY has released his own barbecue sauce line called T-Bone's Famous. Peres says, "Right now only my original flavor is bottled. Original 'Rib'Licious' Bar-B-Que Sauce is sweet and tangy, with a mild blend of spices such as, onion, garlic and chili powder. In the next couple of months, I will have a spicy version of the sauce and two dry rubs bottled. The spicy rub I am makin' is great when smokin' pork shoulder or pork spare ribs. Some folks even like it on steak."

Regarding how he came to launch his new barbecue sauce line, Peres said, "My nickname came from the band AGNOSTIC FRONT on our tour together back in 1992. Ever since then everyone has called me T-Bone.

"The passion for cookin' began when I was a child in Jacksonville, Florida, with my grandpa John Landregan, who was a cook in the US Navy. He was always cookin' up somethin' good in the kitchen. Naturally, this gave me the desire to learn. After a few years in the kitchen, I turned to the great outdoors and started to barbecue. In Florida, we barbecue all year round from sun up to sun down.

"After perfectin' the art of smokin' ribs and pork shoulder, I decided that I needed to come up with my own dippin' sauces and dry rubs.

"In this bottle you will taste the passion for cookin' that started with my papa John many years ago."
