OCTAVIA SPERATI Part Ways With Drummer, Seek Replacement

May 9, 2006

Norwegian metal band OCTAVIA SPERATI have posted the following message on their official web site:

"Unfortunately, Kikken [drums] decided to leave OCTAVIA a while ago, as he could not find the time for two bands. We wish him all luck in the future!

"We are now working on the material for our next record, and the new drummer will of course be part of this process. We rehearse regularily and are preferably looking for drummers living in the Bergen area.

"Auditions are currently held. If you're interested in playing with OCTAVIA please contact us: [email protected]

OCTAVIA SPERATI's debut album, "Winter Enclosure", was released in the U.S. in June 2005 via Candlelight Records. Recorded in the band's hometown of Bergen, Norway, the CD was produced by Herbrand Larsen and Arve Isdal, both members of labelmates ENSLAVED.

Formed in 2000, OCTAVIA SPERATI's current lineup includes singer Silje Wergeland, bassist Trine C. Johansen, guitarists Gyri S. Losnegaard and Bodil Myklebust, and keyboardist Tone Midtgaard.

OCTAVIA SPERATI supported CRADLE OF FILTH on their U.K. tour last December.
