ONE MAN ARMY AND THE UNDEAD QUARTET Continuing Work On New Material
April 22, 2010ONE MAN ARMY AND THE UNDEAD QUARTET, the Swedish band featuring former THE CROWN vocalist Johan Lindstrand, is currently writing material for its fourth album, tentatively due in early 2011. Lindstrand states, "We intend to record [the new CD] sometime during October/November this year.
"We are currently working on 12 songs but the final product will probably include eight-ten songs. Most likely eight.
"The cool thing is that Jonas [Blom; guitar] has written most of the songs.
"He's just been in the band for not even a year and already he has all these killer songs.
"They sound pretty epic and a bit different to what we've done in the past.
"A new strength and energy has been brought into the machine and we haven't felt this powerful in years.
"We haven't decided on artwork or title yet but there will be a new vibe concerning the new ARMY album, for sure.
"We've done three full-length albums with the same cover over and over again and it's time for a change. It's time for General Grim to take a rest.
"The whole vibe will illustrate a more darker atmosphere as well as lyrics and music.
"Some titles are: 'Sandman Apocalypse', 'Inside The Head Of God', 'How I Love To Kill You', 'The Pleasures Of Slavery'.
"Can't wait to play some tunes for you! It will slay!!!!"
Jonas made his live debut with ONE MAN ARMY AND THE UNDEAD QUARTET at the Metal Invasion festival in Ruhstorf, Germany on September 19, 2009.
Longtime ONE MAN ARMY AND THE UNDEAD QUARTET guitarist Mikael Lagerblad quit the band on April 1, 2009.
ONE MAN ARMY AND THE UNDEAD QUARTET's third album, "Grim Tales", was released on October 24, 2008 via Massacre Records. The CD was made available as a limited-edition digipack containing a bonus DVD.
