ONSETCOLD To Release Debut Next Month

February 16, 2008

Cheshire, UK-based extreme epic metallers ONSETCOLD will release their self-titled album on March 7 via the Italian label WormHoleDeath/Aural Music. The CD was recorded in August 2007 with producers Leonardo Magnolfi and ONSETCOLD, and was engineered/recorded by Leonardo Magnolfi, mixed by Andrea Secchi at Zeta Factory, and mastered by Riccardo Pasini at Studio 73 in Italy.

Commented the band: "We called the album 'Onsetcold' as any other title would detract from the concept behind the band. That concept is 'the beginning of the end. It is past all of the fire, anger and rage to when there is nothing left to burn on earth and the natural progression is for all life forms to shut down as the deadly cold sets in.' Every song is different in structure and subject matter, from the ills of mankind to more personal journeys in life."

"Onsetcold" track listing:

01. Life Without Numbers
02. No Sun No Life
03. Psychopath
04. Masterdom
05. Pale Horse
06. After The Fire
07. Neurotic
08. Relentless
09. Ritual Human Sacrifice
11. Servitude

According to the group's official bio, "ONSETCOLD are a five-piece extreme metal band from the UK who push the musical boundaries beyond that of the more regimented forms of metal. Since their inception in 2004 they have developed their distinctive sound through actively self recording their material and taking time to create song structures that naturally fit the meaning of each track, similar to treating each song like an individual chapter of a book. ONSETCOLD have performed at a number of cities around the UK including, Glasgow, Nottingham, Manchester and London and are renowned for their aggressive and brutal stage assault."
