ONSLAUGHT To Maintain 'Highest Standard Of Quality' On Upcoming Album

December 13, 2005

The reformed lineup of the classic U.K. thrash outfit ONSLAUGHT are continuing work on the material for their new studio album, "Killing Peace", tentatively due next year via an as-yet-undetermined label. "We hope that you've enjoyed the songs you've heard to date and we're determined to maintain the highest standards of quality in terms of our writing," bassist James Hinder wrote following the band's first gig in almost fifteen years on November 25 in Bristol, England. "The title track has raised our personal bar and so we need to maintain, or exceed if possible, that standard.. lots of ideas floating around at the moment so fingers crossed..."

Joining Hinder in the band's current lineup are guitarist Nige Rockett, drummer Steve Grice, vocalist Sy Keeler and the group's latest addition, guitarist Alan Jordan (ex-MIRROR MIRROR, FRANKENSTEIN).

ONSLAUGHT recorded three albums in the late 1980s — including the underrated "In Search of Sanity" (1989, Polydor),featuring ex-GRIM REAPER frontman Steve Grimmett — before calling it a day.
