OPERA DIABOLICUS Mixing Session Delayed
September 24, 2008OPERA DIABOLICUS, the Swedish doom rock-opera project featuring multi-instrumentalist Snowy Shaw (THERION, DREAM EVIL, KING DIAMOND, MERCYFUL FATE, MEMENTO MORI, NOTRE DAME),was supposed to enter the last phase of its studio session at Andy La Rocque's (KING DIAMOND) Sonic Train Studios in Varberg, Sweden this week, but due to HAMMERFALL's extended use of the Sonic Train facility during the recording process for its new album, the OPERA DIABOLICUS mixing session has been pushed back four weeks.
OPERA DIABOLICUS — which also features contributions from Mats Levén (KRUX, ex-THERION, YNGWIE MALMSTEEN) and Niklas Isfeldt (DREAM EVIL),among others — earlier this summer re-recorded all guitar, bass and vocals for its upcoming CD, and according to the people involved it turned out "fantastic."
The CD is still scheduled to be released around Christmas.
