OPETH Guests On BRUCE DICKINSON's Radio Show; Audio Available
December 5, 2008Swedish progressive metalelrs OPETH were IRON MAIDEN frontman Bruce Dickinson's guest earlier tonight (Friday, December 5) during Bruce's weekly BBC 6 Music radio program, dubbed "The Bruce Dickinson Friday Rock Show". According to a show description, OPETH's Mikael Åkerfeldt and Fredrik Åkesson "took over the show for an hour, selecting some of their favorite tracks from JUDAS PRIEST, RAINBOW and the SCORPIONS." The program is now available for streaming at BBC.co.uk.
OPETH's latest video for "Burden" received its online premiere on November 4. While Danish director Lasse Hoile (DREAM THEATER, PORCUPINE TREE, STEVEN WILSON) shot and directed the storyline in Denmark, OPETH filmed the band performance at the Vogue theater in Vancouver, Canada.
"The Roundhouse Tapes", the long-awaited new DVD from OPETH, was released in Europe on Peaceville Records on October 27 (UK - November 10, USA - November 11).
