OPETH Members Discuss Musical Influences, Favorite Albums
May 19, 2008The German branch of Roadrunner Records has posted video footage of OPETH mainman Mikael kerfeldt and the group's new guitarist Fredrik kesson (KRUX, ex-ARCH ENEMY, TALISMAN) discussing their musical influences and recommending some of their favorite albums. OPETH's new album, "Watershed", is scheduled for release on June 3 via Roadrunner Records (one day earlier internationally). The CD, recorded in the band's native Sweden and produced by Mikael kerfeldt and Jens Bogren, is a masterwork that follows the time-honored OPETH tradition; its modern yet timeless, progressive yet paying homage to the sounds of classic rock.
