May 19, 2008A 30-second trailer for "Burn You Down", the new video from Los Angeles industrial rock act OPIATE FOR THE MASSES, can be viewed below. The track comes off the band's new album, "Manifesto", due on July 8, 2008. The clip was shot in Burbank, California with director David Brodsky (HELMET, ALL AMERICAN REJECTS, THE RED CHORD, 12 TRIBES).
OPIATE FOR THE MASSES will head out on the road with FILTER starting tomorrow (May 20) in Atlanta, GA. This will be the band's first time touring in a while. "OPIATE has taken a break from the road for long enough," says vocalist Ron Underwood. "We have an awesome new album, new lineup, and new outlook and we're really excited that the inaugural tour in support of 'Manifesto' is with FILTER." Underwood has been a FILTER fan for years. "Seeing the video for 'Hey Man, Nice Shot' as a kid made me want to punch though a plate glass window, steal a guitar, and form my own band. This is gonna be an awesome summer!"
OPIATE FOR THE MASSES created a solid buzz and diehard fanbase with its self-produced debut album, "The Spore", backed by a slew of major tours alongside AVENGED SEVENFOLD, DISTURBED, MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE and STATIC-X, among countless others. They were also a featured act on the inaugural Taste of Chaos tour.
