OPIATE FOR THE MASSES Forced To Miss Shows On FILTER Tour
June 20, 2008Los Angeles industrial rock act OPIATE FOR THE MASSES has issued the following statement:
"OPIATE FOR THE MASSES regrets missing out on performing for fans in Oklahoma City, OK [on June 20] and Harrison, AR [on June 21] on this run with FILTER and 10 YEARS. Drummer Seven Antonopoulos is sidelined in a Dallas, TX hospital with severe complications from a dental issue he has been dealing with. Nothing less would have kept the band from the road. OPIATE is due to rejoin the tour on Monday [June 23] in Nashville, TN."
"Burn You Down", the new single from OPIATE FOR THE MASSES, can be heard now via the band's MySpace page. The track comes off the group's new album, "Manifesto", which is scheduled for release on July 8, 2008 via Century Media Records. A video for the song was recently shot in Burbank, California with director David Brodsky (HELMET, ALL AMERICAN REJECTS, THE RED CHORD, 12 TRIBES).
OPIATE FOR THE MASSES created a solid buzz and diehard fanbase with its self-produced debut album, "The Spore", backed by a slew of major tours alongside AVENGED SEVENFOLD, DISTURBED, MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE and STATIC-X, among countless others. They were also a featured act on the inaugural Taste of Chaos tour.
