ORANGE GOBLIN: Greek Shows Cancelled

September 24, 2007

British doomsters ORANGE GOBLIN have issued the following update:

"ORANGE GOBLIN are very sorry to announce that due to problems beyond their control, the shows this weekend in Athens and Thessaloniki (Greece) have been cancelled. There was a massive cock-up by the promoters involving a double booking with CANDLEMASS and despite the best efforts of the very helpful staff at the Underworld in Athens, the band regret that they will have to pull the two shows. Everyone in ORANGE GOBLIN would like to apologise to the Greek fans and hope that we can arrange something at a later date to make up for it.

"The band would like to thank all the fans that came out to help make the European Plague Invasion tour so successful. The band had a great time and look forward to seeing everyone on the road again soon. Also, a massive thanks must go out to our new brothers in ASTROSONIQ for all their help and friendship that made the tour such a blast.

"The venue for the ORANGE GOBLIN show on Friday, November 9th, The Attic in Rushden, is closing down! Therefore the promoters are moving the show to an alternative venue in nearby Northampton. We will let you know the name of the venue as soon as it is confirmed!"

As previously reported, ORANGE GOBLIN has scheduled a special Christmas show on Saturday, December 8 at the Islington Carling Academy in London. Support at the gig will come from North Carolina sludge-meisters SOURVEIN and hard-rocking U.K. hopefuls JOSIAH.

ORANGE GOBLIN's new CD, "Healing through Fire", was released in May through Sanctuary Records. The album was initially released as a CD with a bonus DVD featuring live footage from the band's headline show at London's Mean Fiddler in December 2006.
