ORANGE GOBLIN To Film London Show For Upcoming DVD
December 11, 2006British doomsters ORANGE GOBLIN will film their December 16 show at The Mean Fiddler in London for an upcoming DVD. "We hope all those attending will help to make it one of the loudest and most memorable ORANGE GOBLIN shows ever!" the band writes on its web site.
ORANGE GOBLIN will enter a London studio on March 3, 2007 begin recording its new album for a May 21, 2007 release via Sanctuary Records. Production this time around will be handled by Mark Daghorn, who has recently worked with MENDEED, CRADLE OF FILTH and many more, as well as being involved in the two previous ORANGE GOBLIN albums. According to the band, the next record will definitely be a progression from 2004's "Thieving from the House of God" and will be based on its local history. Singer Ben Ward states that "it's not a concept album at all but we are using the theme of the Great Plague of London and the Great Fire that followed for a lot of lyrical and musical influence. It's definitely the strongest material we have written."
