ORANGE GOBLIN To Record THE DAMNED Cover For 'Sucking The '70s II' Compilation

May 10, 2006

British doomsters ORANGE GOBLIN will enter the studio soon to record a cover of "New Rose" by THE DAMNED for the upcoming "Sucking The '70s II" compilation. "As well as this, we'll be recording our first new material since 'Thieving from the House of God' in 2004," the band write on their web site. "We are looking forward to doing two new songs with Craig Riggs (SCISSORFIGHT, ANTLER, ROADSAW, FIVE HORSE JOHNSON) at Mad Oak Studios in Boston, MA. The working titles for the songs so far are 'They Come Back (Harvest of Skulls)' and 'The Ballad of Solomon Eagle'."

ORANGE GOBLIN are about to hit the road in the U.S. for a two-week jaunt with SCISSORFIGHT. "We hope to see a lot of old friends and new fans at the shows and anybody willing to buy the band a drink is more than welcome!" the group write. "There will also be limited-edition U.S. merch available at the shows, which we hope will raise enough funds to help us buy a packet of cigarettes to share!"
