Original LOVE/HATE To Reunite For Hollywood Gig
February 5, 2007The original LOVE/HATE lineup — vocalist Jizzy Pearl, guitarist Jon E. Love, bassist Skid Rose and drummer Joey Gold — will reunite for the first time in ten years. On February 24 at Club Vodka in Hollywood, California, they will perform their classic record "Black out in the Red Room" in its entirety.
Released in 1990, "Blackout in the Red Room" reached position No. 154 on the Billboard Top 200. The video for the single "Why Do You Think They Call It Dope?" received good rotation on MTV, chiefly on "Headbanger's Ball". In 1992 when the band released its second album "Wasted in America", Jizzy Pearl used himself in a legendary publicity stunt to help album sales. With the help of a few others, Jizzy successfully erected a cross on the Hollywood sign and positioned himself on it.
