Original Y&T Lineup To Reunite For Live DVD

July 24, 2003

The original lineup of Y&T — including rhythm guitarist Joey Alves — has reportedly agreed to reunite for a few concert dates in November. Alves will apparently joint the rest of the band as a "special guest" at the shows, which will be filmed for an upcoming DVD.

According to www.meniketti.com, frontman Dave Meniketti had this to say about the group's recent reunion jam with Alves: "Well, it happened [the other night] at rehearsal. Joey played about eight songs with us... We got some pictures with him at the studio & he sounded great playing with us. He agreed that he'd love to come on stage with us in November and play a few tunes as a guest appearance. That would make it real cool & an extra special thing to be filming for a DVD." Dave made it clear no one is thinking about a "long haul" thing at this point, but he said it will be fun to see where it goes.
