ORPHANED LAND: European Tour Diary Part 3 Available

July 2, 2010

Israeli progressive folk metal masters ORPHANED LAND recently wrapped up their headlining run through Europe and have posted part three in a series of video tour diaries that offer you a chance to witness the band bringing some Middle Eastern flavor to the old world. Watch the latest clip below.

ORPHANED LAND will continue to tour massively in support of its new album, "The Never Ending Way Of ORwarriOR", with plans to return to European stages in November with AMORPHIS and GHOST BRIGADE. Until then, ORPHANED LAND will be busy playing several major European festivals this summer (including Wacken Open Air and Summer Breeze) as well as taking part in a U.S. tour, supporting KATATONIA from September 8 to October 7.

On May 22, ORPHANED LAND performed at the Ramat Gan stadium in Tel Aviv as the support act for METALLICA.

"The Never Ending Way Of ORwarriOR" sold around 600 copies in the United States in its first week of release. The CD landed at No. 80 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200.

"The Never Ending Way Of ORwarriOR" was released in Europe on January 25. Mixed by Steven Wilson (PORCUPINE TREE, OPETH),who is also responsible for several keyboard parts on the new CD, the effort — which was made available in the U.S. on February 9 via Century Media Records — is a sophisticated concept album which takes ORPHANED LAND's unique brand of exotic, heavy music to soaring new heights in terms of complexity and catchiness.

The CD's artwork was created by Zen Two and Native.
