OVERKILL: Putting Finishing Touches On New Album Recordings

October 30, 2004

Legendary New Jersey metallers OVERKILL are putting the finishing touches on the recordings for their new album, tentatively due in February 2005. "We're recording down the shore, down at [bassist] D.D.'s [Verni] place," OVERKILL frontman Bobby "Blitz" Ellsworth stated during an appearance on the "Friday Night Rocks" show on New York's Q104.3 FM this past Friday (Oct. 29). "[We're] just finishing vocals right now. Doing some overdubs, finishing the vocals, moving into a mix, so we're expecting to deliver [the finished masters] in, let's say, late November."

As BLABBERMOUTH.NET exclusively reported on October 9, OVERKILL have inked a two-album deal with Sweden's Regain Records. The agreement, which covers the entire world outside the USA, will begin with the release of the group's next studio album. The band will follow up the upcoming CD with extensive worldwide touring (USA, Europe, Japan and more).

OVERKILL's last studio album, "Killbox 13", was released in 2003 via Spitfire Records.
