OVIF Begins Writing New Material

December 16, 2008

Montreal, Quebec, Canada-based thrash metal band OVIF, which features former members of MELODYACT, has issued the following update:

"It is now time for us to start writing the second album. I can't wait to get to the blood of it soon. This new album will explore some territories we haven't been yet musically... and this is what I personally like about music — never quite knowing where the next trip is going to take you completely. You have a direction but you never know exactly where it's gonna take you. One thing for sure is that it will possibly be the most interesting music OVIF will have produced this far. The goal is originality while keeping the thrash metal energy that moved us all for so long."

OVIF's debut album, "Devast", was recorded with veteran producer Glen Robinson (VOIVOD, GWAR, ANNIHILATOR) and contains 13 songs, five of which are sung in French.
