OZZFEST 2006: Lineup Revealed?

March 9, 2006

According to a posting on Clear Channel's Live Nation site (a posting which has since been removed),the following bands are expected to appear at this year's Ozzfest:

Main Stage:

OZZY OSBOURNE (select shows only)
SYSTEM OF A DOWN
DISTURBED
HATEBREED
LACUNA COIL
BLACK LABEL SOCIETY

Second Stage:

ATREYU
BLEEDING THROUGH
BETWEEN THE BURIED AND ME
UNEARTH
NORMA JEAN
STRAPPING YOUNG LAD
THE RED CHORD
WALLS OF JERICHO
A LIFE ONCE LOST
ALL THAT REMAINS

It should be noted that **NONE** of these bands have been officially confirmed by the Ozzfest organizers. This year's **official** lineup is expected to be revealed tonight (March 9).

UPDATE: Sources have told Launch Radio Networks that AVENGED SEVENFOLD is also heading to the main stage.

ATREYU are currently on the Taste Of Chaos tour and appeared at Ozzfest two years ago. Frontman Alex Varkatzas told Launch he enjoys both but prefers the outdoor vibe at Ozzfest. "It's better 'cause you can go outside and do stuff," he said. "Like, if you wanna go, like, run around and be crazy, you can. You don't have to sit inside. That's the only thing about Taste of Chaos, is 'cause of the weather, it's a little more cramped."
