OZZY OSBOURNE And Clan To Issue "The Osbournes Family Album"

May 16, 2002

OZZY OSBOURNE and his family will be issuing a soundtrack of sorts to the hit MTV reality series The Osbournes, entitled The Osbournes Family Album, on June 11th through Epic Records. The CD will contain songs personally chosen by each member, including daughter Kelly Osbourne's cover of MADONNA's "Papa Don't Preach".

As previously reported, Kelly was backed on the cut by INCUBUS guitarist Mike Einziger and drummer Jose Pasillas II. A video was recently shot by Marcos Siega (i.e. P.O.D., BLINK 182). "This is never something I really thought I'd ever do," the 17-year-old Kelly admitted at a press conference yesterday in New York. "I guess things just change."

Also included on the album are the OZZY tracks "Dreamer", "Mama, I'm Coming Home", and the PAT BOONE version of "Crazy Train", plus "Mirror Image" from the band DILLUSION, who were signed to a development deal with Epic Records thanks to Ozzy's 16-year-old son Jack's job as a talent scout for Epic.

Other tracks featured on the album include SYSTEM OF A DOWN's cover of BLACK SABBATH's "Snowblind", as well as the KINKS' "You Really Got Me", JOHN LENNON's "Imagine", and THE CARS' "Drive", among others.
