OZZY OSBOURNE's Rehab Shock

December 21, 2006

According to MonstersAndCritics.com, Ozzy Osbourne has revealed wife Sharon tricked him into going to rehab by telling him there would be a bar.

The BLACK SABBATH singer — who has been treated for drink and drug addictions — admitted himself under the illusion he was going to be taught how to drink, not how to stop.

Ozzy told Hello magazine: "After Kelly was born, Sharon told me about a place where they teach you to drink properly. I said 'Oh, what's that — the pub?'

"She told me it was called the Betty Ford Center. And I thought, 'That's it! I've been doing it wrong!'

"So I walk in, expecting to watch a demonstration of how to drink a Martini, and I say, 'Hi Betty Ford, can you show me where the bar is?'

"This receptionist is like, 'What?!'"

Ozzy has had a few relapses but insists he wants to be sober and is determined to try and stay off the drink for his family, wife Sharon, son Jack and daughters Aimee and Kelly.

He said: "I've been trying to stay sober for 22 years. Some days are bad and some days are great. I get up every day and I pray, 'Don't let me drink today.' I don't like it, but I accept the fact that I can't drink. It's hard, especially at Christmas. But all I know is I'm a very, very lucky man to still be alive and I appreciate that."
