P.O.D. To Play Concert At San Diego's Petco Park

July 22, 2006

The San Diego Padres announced on Friday (July 21) that P.O.D. will headline the third and final Park at the Park Concert of the 2006 season in conjunction with the Saturday, August 19, Padres-Arizona Diamondbacks game at Petco Park in San Diego. Padres Executive Vice President for Business Operations Jeff Overton made the announcement.

"We are thrilled to have an act the caliber of P.O.D. conclude this year's concert series," said Overton. "With a Saturday afternoon of National League West baseball, followed by a major act in P.O.D., it should be a great day at Petco Park."

Admission to the concert is free with a game ticket. P.O.D. will take the stage a few minutes after the final out of the game.

The Park at the Park concert series is presented by Bud True Music in association with FOX 6 television.

P.O.D. is based in San Diego and boasts three natives in Paul "Sonny" Sandoval, bassist Mark "Traa" Daniels and drummer Noah "Wuv" Bernardo. With a 13-year career under their belts, P.O.D. has logged a remarkable array of achievements, including worldwide sales exceeding 7 million, sold-out international concert tours, a series of chart topping radio hits, and an unprecedented four No. 1 videos on MTV's "TRL". Supported by their passionate fan base known as "the Warriors" the band has created what they describe as "a catalog of music that we want to respect and honor with each step into the future."
