PAGANFEST Organizers Explain Arizona Cancellation

The organizers of Paganfest 2008 the North American tour featuring headliners TURISAS alongside ENSIFERUM, TR and ELUVEITIE have released the following statement:

"Although we are (and bands included) totally bummed out that we had to cancel the show in Arizona [May 11 at The Cell Block in Phoenix], we want you all to know that there is a reason for it.

"First, ELUVEITIE and TR's bus broke down in California. We had no clue when it was going to be repaired. Estimation was impossible since it was Mother's Day Sunday and all repair shops were closed. We have a cool brotherhood on this package and ENSIFERUM and TURISAS didn't want to leave the others behind.

"In this event, we tried several times over the course of the night to get a hold of the promoter and that was unsuccessful. We had to make a decision on the spot and everyone decided to stick together.

"Trust us when we say that money had nothing to do with this. Matter of fact, we lost a ton of money not coming. We feel bad about this and we promise to make it up somehow.

"We have other plans in mind for this fall (and every band on this package is planning to come back this year!). We will also have a Paganfest 2 next year!

"Sorry again guys, but this s**t happens!

"Don't hate the bands. It's not their fault...it was just bad luck."
