Paintings Of OZZY OSBOURNE, ROB ZOMBIE, SLASH, AXL ROSE Featured In 'Rock Show' Art Exhibit

March 30, 2009

According to WashburnReview.org, Slash, Axl Rose, Ozzy Osbourne and Rob Zombie are among the subjects who are featured in "Rock Show", Washburn University senior Courtney Cook's first art exhibit, which is scheduled to open on on April 3 at Bosco's Downtown in Topeka, Kansas.

Cook created most of her paintings during her senior year of high school.

"This show is something I've thought about doing since I started painting in 2005, but I just haven't ever gotten around to it," she said.

One painting that has garnered a lot of compliments is of former GUNS N' ROSES guitarist Slash.

"I had one teacher who taught me pretty much everything I know about painting," Cook said. "I sat in his class room everyday for a week [and] listened to a lot of different rock music, GUNS N' ROSES in particular, while I painted that."

"Rock Show" will remain on display at Bosco's Downtown through April 25 during regular business hours, 5 p.m. to 2 a.m. Wednesday through Saturday.
