PAPA ROACH Expand Family, Receive Police Escort

April 1, 2002

PAPA ROACH frontman Jacoby Shaddix (formerly Coby Dick) and his wife are the proud parents of a baby boy. Makaile Cielo Shaddix, born on March 24th, weighed in at 7 pounds, 3 ounces.

In other news, PAPA ROACH guitarist Jerry Horton recently recalled, via the group's official web site, the experience of being escorted by police to a festival in Caracas, Venezuela in mid-March. According to Horton, We went to the venue, which was an hour-and-a-half drive in traffic worse than L.A. The crazy part about that was we had a police escort of five guys on dirt bikes, that were swarming around us trying to get the traffic out of the way.

PAPA ROACH's upcoming album, Lovehatetragedy, is set for a June 25th release through Dreamworks Records.
