PAPA ROACH: 'Forever' Video To Debut On AOL MUSIC This Friday

June 14, 2007

Little did PAPA ROACH fan Ramon Boutviseth (from Huntersville, NC) know that when he entered the "Make Your Own 'Forever' Video" contest on YouTube for fun that he would end up as an official co-director.

Even though a video for "Forever" was already completed, when the band saw Boutviseth's version, they liked his storyline so much that they handed control over to the fan to mix the original performance footage with his own editing and storyline.

Boutviseth's submission is now part of the highly anticipated official video for PAPA ROACH's smash hit "Forever", which will debut on AOL Music beginning on June 15 and will run the clip as a "First View" through Sunday, June 17. The track is the band's highest-charting single since "Scars" reached #2 on the Billboard Modern Rock chart in 2004.

The band's latest album, "The Paramour Sessions", will be re-released on June 19 with a brand new cover, a free "Forever" ringtone, a fold out poster, as well as PAPA ROACH mobile phone wallpaper. The band has just begun a month long European tour and will return to the road here in the U.S. on July 1 in El Paso at the Downtown Street Festival. Beginning on July 13 they will join up with HINDER for a 30-plus date tour running through the summer.

"This tour with HINDER is going to be a kick-ass show of great rock bands bringing it every single night," commented frontman Jacoby. "We can't wait to get this in gear."

Jacoby is also enjoying success from becoming the host of the hit MTV series "Scarred" which began its run on MTV in April. Everyone has seen them… the user-generated clips watched by countless people on the Web, or passed around rampant between friends. But no one knows who the people are in the videos, or the stories behind them — until now, with MTV's "Scarred". Every scar has a story, and for the first time the people behind some of the Web's most popular videos get to share their stories firsthand.
