January 14, 2004PAPA ROACH will be heading back to Los Angeles this week to begin mixing their new album with Chris Lord-Alge. Chris' credits include BAD RELIGION, BILLY TALENT, GLASSJAW, GREEN DAY, IMA ROBOT, MxPx, P.O.D., and STONE TEMPLE PILOTS.
As previously reported, the follow-up to 2002's "Lovehatetragedy" — which is expected to be titled either "Dancing In The Ashes" or "Getting Away With Murder" — was produced by Howard Benson, who has previously worked with COLD, BLINDSIDE, P.O.D. and SEPULTURA, among others. An early 2004 release through Dreamworks Records is expected. Among the tracks set to appear on the album are "Just Go", "Done With You" and "Getting Away With Murder".
In other news, PAPA ROACH singer Jacoby Shaddix's side project FIGHT THE SKY entered Sacramento, California's Velvet Tone Studios on January 9 to begin recording their full-length debut, "Seven Deadly Songs". The CD, the material on which was described by Jacoby as "straight metal hardcore, all screamy and shit," is tentatively due in the spring through PAPA ROACH's El Tonal imprint.
