PARAGON Completes Drum Tracks For New CD

September 5, 2006

Bassist Jan Bünning of the German power metallers PARAGON has posted the following message on the band's official web site:

"Chris [Gripp] has almost recorded most of his drum stuff [for the new PARAGON album]. Tomorrow he will play the final songs and after next weekend I will start to record my bass tracks. I not heard anything recorded yet but some ear witnesses said that it sounds as it will be our most heavy album so far. We emphasised on some of our thrash roots this time, so it makes sense. We will also do a great cover version of one of Bushie's [singer [Andreas Babuschkin] all-time thrash song favourites. I think his voice fits the song perfectly.

"All lyrics ready now — the titles are:

01. Hammer Of The Gods
02. Face Of Death
03. Gangland
04. Souleaters
05. Instrumental
06. Forgotten Prophecies
07. Halls Of Doom
08. Arise!
09. Wargods
10. Agony

"It will really be hard to make good order as two third of the songs are fast and heavy!

"After I have done my bass tracks next week we will also have one more rehearsal for our 100-minute-plus headliner show at the Force Of Metal Saturday the 16th."

PARAGON's latest album, "Revenge", was released in the U.S. in April 2005 via Magick Records. The CD was the follow-up to "The Dark Legacy", which was released in 2003 by Remedy.
