PARAGON Part Ways With Drummer, Announce Temporary Replacement
August 9, 2005German power metallers PARAGON have parted ways with drummer Marcus "Big M" Corby. According to a posting on teh group's web site, Marcus "had to leave the band because of serious problems with his left arm. He has a trapped nerve similar to a tennis arm syndrome and has not constantly been available for rehearsals. To ensure a successful autumn tour we have engaged a replacement drummer, Christian Gripp, also drummer of our labelmates TORMENT. He will play the [upcoming European] tour and following gigs and then we will see."

PARAGON recently re-released some of their B.O. Records back catalog. "The Final Command" (originally issued in 1998) was re-released with the long-out-of-print "Into the Black" MCD (1994) as bonus tracks on one CD, while "Chalice of Steel" (1999) was reissued as a double CD including the whole "World of Sin" (1995) album as a bonus. Both albums have reworked artwork and all songs were remastered.
PARAGON have begun writing material for the follow-up to this year's "Revenge", tentatively due in 2006.
