PATHS OF POSSESSION To Enter Studio In September

Bassist Randy Butman of PATHS OF POSSESSION — the Florida-based band fronted by CANNIBAL CORPSE vocalist George "Corpsegrinder" Fisher — has issued the following update:

"We are gearing up for the new disc. We enter Mana studios in September to record the first half, and we will do the second half in November. The reason for the split is because CANNIBAL CORPSE will be recording at the same time as us, and there is not enough of old George to go around. We are looking at a March release probably.

"The FROM BLOOD AND BURNING disc that we recorded in January at Mana is unfortunately being delayed. Hopefully it will come out by the end of the year. For those of you not familiar with this band, it consists of three members of PATHS OF POSSESSION (Randy Butman, Nick Goodyear and Jack Goodwin) with our good friend Josh Cannon (SORCERER) on leads. It is a conceptual horror band that I have been wanting to do for a long time. The disc turned out great and I can't wait to unleash it upon you fine folks. We teamed up with Abyssmal Entertainment out of Orlando to create segues in-between the songs and through some of them, that involve voice actors for dialog and the pleasent sounds of people being gutted and mudered. I am very proud of this one.

"It looks like me and Jack are going to be recording on the new CANCERSLUG disc in October. This disc is going to be about 30 songs spanning their whole career... it is going to be the ultimate CANCERSLUG Bible. I am totally stoked about this because C-SLUG is one of my favorite bands... of course...this is only a rumor."

PATHS OF POSSESSION's third album, "The End of the Hour", was released last October via Metal Blade Records.
