November 18, 2008

Video footage of former IRON MAIDEN singer Paul Di'Anno performing the MAIDEN classic "Phantom Of The Opera" on November 15, 2008 at Trigon in Haltern am See, Germany can be viewed below (courtesy of "Crossfire44").

Paul Di'Anno last week released the following statement regarding the postponement of his previously announced U.S. tour:

"Unfortunately, and due to reasons totally beyond my control, it now seems that the entire USA tour is gonna have to be rescheduled until another period during 2009.

"I am really really sorry to the many people who have already purchased tickets and made arrangements to get to the tour and I am well and truly pissed off that this has happened, but please bear with me until the whole thing gets resolved and I'll be seeing you there in the USA soonest. I'd also like to express my best thanks, gratitude and appreciation to Chuck and all at Artists Worldwide for all of their hard work and commitment."

According to Paul Di'Anno's booking agent, the singer's tour was postponed "due to a delay in the visa process."

Di'Anno's U.S. tour was scheduled to kick off on November 28 in Springfield, Virginia.

Paul recently entered the studio with German producer Deiter Roth to begin recording his new album for a 2009 release. Di'Anno stated in June 2008, "I have already fully recorded five of the songs in Germany (at Dieter's studio) and I will have the whole album finished by the end of this year. The album is very different to anything else I have ever recorded and I am so very excited about this album as it really is the business."
