July 6, 2008Photos of former IRON MAIDEN singer Paul Di'Anno's July 5, 2008 concert in Fontigo, Italy can be viewed at this location. Di'Anno's backing band for the show consisted of musicians from the Italian MAIDEN tribute band CHILDREN OF THE DAMNED. The setlist featured selections from MAIDEN's first two albums, a cover of THE RAMONES' "Blitzkrieg Bop" and a few songs from Di'Anno's solo albums.
Fan-filmed video footage of Di'Anno's June 14, 2008 concert at VillaRock de Salvanes, Spain can be viewed below.
Di'Anno recently entered the studio with German producer Deiter Roth to begin recording his new album for a 2009 release. Di'Anno stated last month, "I have already fully recorded five of the songs in Germany (at Dieter's studio) and I will have the whole album finished by the end of this year. The album is very different to anything else I have ever recorded and I am so very excited about this album as it really is the business."
Di'Anno in 2006 re-released his 2000 effort, "Nomad", with a few tracklist alterations, under the title "The Living Dead" (Cleopatra Records). The package comes with a bonus DVD that contains the music video for "The Living Dead" and an exclusive in-depth, tell-all interview in which Di'Anno discusses his days with IRON MAIDEN.
