PAUL STANLEY: 'Live To Win' To Enter German Chart At No. 49
October 30, 2006According to KissNews.de, KISS guitarist/vocalist Paul Stanley's new solo album, "Live to Win", will enter the German national chart at position No. 49 with about 2,300 units sold during its first week of release. "That is a real good position considering there was no promotional tour, no single, no video and no single interviews to promote this album," a posting on the site reads. "Gene's [Simmons] well-promoted 'Asshole' solo album missed the Top 100 two years ago..."
As previously reported, "Live to Win" is poised to sell between 25,000 and 30,000 copies in the United States during its first week of release to land in the Top 50 of The Billboard 200 chart. The final first-week numbers will be released on Wednesday, November 1.
Stanley was on the phone with the "Bob Rivers Show" on KZOK 102.5 FM in Seattle on Friday (October 27) to promote "Live to Win". Stanley talked about not wanting to recreate his first solo album or a KISS album, the all-star collaborations, the different ways to distribute music, how he was every parent's worst dream come true, all the band's merchandise, and more.
