PEARL JAM Fleshes Out Summer/Fall Tour

July 10, 2009

The Pulse of Radio reports: PEARL JAM has fleshed out the details of its upcoming summer and fall tour, according to LiveDaily.com. Following a handful of North American dates next month, the band will return for a series of shows beginning on September 21 and September 22 with a two-night hometown stand in Seattle. Following that, the group has gigs booked in Los Angeles, Austin, San Diego and Philadelphia, with more presumably to be announced. Tickets for almost all the new shows go on sale on July 18 at 1:00 p.m. ET, with Philadelphia tickets available one day earlier, on July 17 at 10:00 a.m. ET.

PEARL JAM will be touring in support of its ninth studio album, "Backspacer", which is due for release on September 20.

The physical CD will be sold exclusively through Target stores in the U.S. and is the band's first self-released effort after 18 years with Sony Music.

A first single called "The Fixer" will arrive at rock radio stations and digital retailers on July 20.

The band will tape an episode of the "Austin City Limits" music program when it headlines the festival of the same name in early October.
