PEARL JAM Warming Up For LOLLAPALOOZA With Intimate Show

July 26, 2007

Launch Radio Networks reports: PEARL JAM will play an intimate show for fan club members in Chicago on August 2, just three days before the band closes out the Lollapalooza festival in the city's Grant Park on August 5. According to Reuters, tickets for the show will on sale Thursday (July 26) and cost $150 a pair. The gig will take place at the Vic Theatre, which holds about 1,400 people. There's no word on whether PEARL JAM is planning any other North American concerts at the moment. The two Chicago dates are its only scheduled U.S. appearances for 2007.

PEARL JAM was a breakout band on the 1992 edition of Lollapalooza, back when the show was a traveling event. The band will end this year's edition of the event with its headlining performance

In addition to PEARL JAM, this year's Lollapalooza will feature MODEST MOUSE, MUSE, SNOW PATROL, SILVERSUN PICKUPS, BLUE OCTOBER, YEAH YEAH YEAHS and over 100 others.

PEARL JAM's only other live appearances this year were on a three-week European tour last month. The band is said to be keeping a light schedule after touring for much of 2006 in support of its self-titled eighth studio album.
