PEGAZUS To Record Live Album

September 3, 2003

Australia's PEGAZUS have posted the following update to their official web site:

"The PEGAZUS - 9th Anniversary Show [on August 16] turned out to be a truly great night with lots of fun and loud decibels of true Heavy Metal!!! Special Guest on the night was original PEGAZUS vocalist Justin Fleming, who got up on stage and sang 'Apache Warriors' and also did a cool duet with Rob Thompson on the anthemic 'Metal Forever'. Another guest (the 12th man) with the band, playing drums all night was roadie/stage hand Bernie Goldstein, who handled the position absolutely great and like a true pro, considering we'd only had a few rehearsals with him the two weeks before the actual birthday show.

"Unfortunately, Robbie Stoj has had to pull out of any playing commitments for the time being, due to a sustained injury in his left hand. It's been a recurring problem for him over the past 12 months. He is seeing some specialists at the moment and the news at this point is not looking very good, as the general doctor's opinion is for him to maybe have a section of one of his fingers amputated to ease the pain and discomfort he has been dealing with for such a long time. This is not great news and would most likely leave Robbie with no choice but to give playing drums a rest for a few months, at least till his hand is pain-free and feeling better. In the meantime, Bernie will be playing with us as a temporary stand-in drummer!

"Our next Live show and most likely last one for 2003 is scheduled at the HeadBangers Ball 2 Festival, which PEGAZUS will once again headline on Saturday 20th September at the Central Club, 293 Swan St, Richmond. At this special event, we will be recording our show for a forthcoming Live Album. After four (4) studio albums, covering so many true PEGAZUS Warrior anthems, we felt that this would be a great opportunity for us to capture the bands raw energy and magic as a Live band! With so many fan favorites being played in the setlist of our on going 'Thunder from Down Under OZ Tour 2003', what better way for all our true fans and friends from all around the world to experience PEGAZUS Live......just crank it up LOUD and it's as if you were there at the show! :o)

"The album will feature 13 Live Tracks plus 3 Bonus Tracks which are rare demo versions of songs from 'The Headless Horseman' album sessions. We also plan to capture the show on film/video camera's for a possible Live DVD / VHS release too? The confirmed title is of course taken from the band's current tour name, 'PEGAZUS - Live Thunder Down Under'! An official release date is not yet confirmed but it does look like it could be out sometime in November, this year.

"Soon after the release of the Live album, the band is scheduled in November to start recording some Demos of NEW songs for our next full-length studio album. We will be working very hard for the rest of this year and early into next year, to come up with another dose of KILLER Heavy Metal tunes and album for you guys......stay tuned and keep on banging!"
