PELICAN: New Video Interview Available

August 1, 2007

MetalKult.com has posted a new video interview with PELICAN's Laurent Lebec in which the guitarist talks about a range of topics, including his group's roots in TUSK, why PELICAN are an instrumental band and their latest album, "City of Echoes".

"I think you can only tour 12-minute plus, epic instrumental jams so long before you realize you want to do something completely different," says Lebec. "So that's what this record is for us. It's a record that was largely inspired by being on the road all the time and wanting freedom when we structure our sets. [We wanted] to experience the dynamics of a live performance [that you get] from being a rock band that can do four- and five-minute songs.”

The video was filmed in New York City on July 25, 2007, while PELICAN was in the city touring behind "City of Echoes" with EARTH and UNEARTHLY TRANCE.
