PERIPHERY Guitarist Interviewed In Glasgow (Audio)

October 4, 2012

Radio Caley's Colin Stone conducted an interview with guitarist Jake Bowen of Maryland-based experimental, progressive metallers PERIPHERY on October 3 in Glasgow, Scotland. You can now listen to the chat in the YouTube clip below.

PERIPHERY drummer Matt Halpern is sitting out the band's October 2012 European tour with BETWEEN THE BURIED AND ME and THE SAFETY FIRE after getting into an "unfortunate accident" on Saturday (September 29) and suffering a dislocated shoulder. He is being temporarily replaced by Mike Malyan of MONUMENTS and Boris Le Gal of CHIMP SPANNER.

PERIPHERY recently canceled its participation in the West Coast leg of the "Summer Slaughter Tour" "due to a family emergency."

The band's sophomore album, "Periphery II: This Time It's Personal", sold nearly 12,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to land at position No. 44 on The Billboard 200 chart.

"Periphery II: This Time It's Personal" was released in North America on July 3 via Sumerian Records and will be made available in Europe on July 16 through Century Media Records. The CD features guest appearances by John Petrucci (DREAM THEATER),Guthrie Govan (THE ARISTOCRATS) and Wes Hauch (THE FACELESS).
