PERRIS RECORDS Celebrates 15-Year Anniversary

February 26, 2007

The label that many a metalhead holds near and dear to their heart — Perris Records — will be celebrating its 15th anniversary come this July. Perris has issued all-new studio albums by such renowned veteran hard rock/metal acts as STEPHEN PEARCY (formerly of RATT),BANG TANGO, L.A. GUNS, VAIN, ENUFF Z'NUFF, while also managing to introduce headbangers to newer acts, including 3 LEGGED DOGG, BLIND ALLEY, and BACKWASH, among others.

Perris has grown beyond just being a label, as they have launched their own music newspaper, Rocknation, which features both artists from the label as well as other notable names — including Rob Halford, Slash, AC/DC, and MEGADETH. Thus far, two issues have hit the streets, with the inaugural issue currently viewable at the Rocknation web site. Published by Perris label head Tom Mathers, the paper features such respected metal writers as Brian Rademacher, Chris Akin, Mitch Lafon, and Todd Newton. Additionally, the "Rocknation" TV video show will be launched the same month as Perris' anniversary, which will be made available on both Time Warner and Comcast. The show will air weekly each Sunday night, and promises to be a prime source of hard rock videos for fans throughout the nation.

"I am very excited about the launch of Rocknation," says Mathers. "I believe that Rocknation will bring rock back into the mainstream, and will give bands a medium to promote their music nationwide." Rocknation is also looking for local talent for nationwide concerts — contact [email protected].
