PETER STEELE's 'Health Issues' Force Concert Cancellations, According To KINGDOM OF SORROW

KINGDOM OF SORROW which was supposed to hit the road for five shows with TYPE O NEGATIVE and SOIL beginning on May 9 in Worcester, Massachusetts has issued the following MySpace bulletin:

"Due to health issues with TYPE O NEGATIVE's lead singer Pete Steele, the run of dates we were going to do have been canceled. We were really looking forward to this string of dates, but unfortunately things happen. The shows however will not be rescheduled and refunds will be issued from the place of purchase.

"Sorry everyone, we'll see ya next time!!!!"

The affected dates are as follows:

May 09 - The Palladium - Worcester, MA
May 10 - Starland Ballroom - Sayreville, NJ
May 11 - The NorVa - Norfolk, VA
May 12 - The Loft - Poughkeepsie, NY (KOS headline show)
May 13 - House Of Blues - Cleveland, OH
May 14 - Trocadero - Philadelphia, PA

KINGDOM OF SORROW is the new band featuring Jamey Jasta (HATEBREED) and Kirk Windstein (DOWN, CROWBAR).

The group's video for the track "Lead Into Demise" can be viewed below. The first clip from the band's self-titled album was directed by Kevin Custer, who has previously worked with MADBALL, OVERKILL, THE CONFESSION and THE DESTRO, among others.

"Kingdom of Sorrow" sold 6,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 131 on The Billboard 200 chart. The CD was recorded at Planet Z Studios in Massachusetts with producer Zeuss (HATEBREED, SHADOWS FALL).
