PHARAOH: Another New Song Posted Online
March 25, 2008PHARAOH, the American heavy metal band featuring vocalist Tim Aymar (CONTROL DENIED),has made available a second song from its upcoming album, entitled "Be Gone". The song "Telepath" is now available for streaming on the band's MySpace page. Drummer Chris Black explains, "'Telepath' is about the erosion of human intelligence on a mass scale. There are other songs on the album relating to the general deterioration of human life, but this one has an almost psychological perspective. It's very sinister, and I guess that will happen when Tim and I collaborate on lyrics!"
Cruz del Sur Music has set an April 24 release date for "Be Gone", and the album may be pre-ordered now from Cruz del Sur or its North American distributor, The End Records.
To celebrate the PHARAOH's upcoming performance at the upcoming Keep It True X festival on April 5 in Lauda-Knigshofen, Germany, Cruz del Sur will be offering a special digipack version of "Be Gone". Fans attending the festival will have the first chance to purchase the digipack, which will also include a PHARAOH patch. Pure Steel Records has, meanwhile, confirmed plans for a vinyl release of "The Longest Night", PHARAOH's breakthrough 2006 release. This limited double-LP edition will also be on sale at the festival.
PHARAOH is currently negotiating select U.S. shows for the summer of 2008 and also planning the release of a split 7" with CANVAS SOLARIS later this year, with both bands performing songs by the legendary technical thrash band CORONER.
