PHILIP ANSELMO, JAMEY JASTA To Guest On 96.7 KCAL FM's 'The Moshpit'

August 13, 2009

Philip Anselmo (PANTERA, DOWN) and Jamey Jasta (HATEBREED, KINGDOM OF SORROW) will be interviewed by host Mike Z. on this Saturday's (August 15) edition of "The Moshpit" show on Southern California's 96.7 KCAL FM. The rest of the country (and world) can stream the show live at www.kcalfm.com between 10:00 p.m. PT and 2:00 a.m. PT.

DOWN has tapped Danny Theriot of Metairie, Louisiana to fill in on bass for the band's current North American tour, which kicked off on August 3 at Beaumont Club in Kansas City, Kansas.

Theriot was in a band called VICTORIAN BLITZ in the mid-to-late '80s with DOWN guitarist Kirk Windstein. Although the group reportedly started out by playing original material, they eventually began including more covers in their set from such acts as IRON MAIDEN, JUDAS PRIEST and METALLICA.

DOWN bassist Rex Brown announced that he was sitting out the band's current tour in order "to address some personal issues." However, he was quick to add that he "will be joining [his] brothers on the second leg of the tour and in the studio in the very near future."

DOWN is scheduled to return to the studio from October through December to record what will eventually become the band's fourth album, tentatively due in early 2010.

HATEBREED will release its new self-titled studio album on September 29 via E1 Music (formerly KOCH Records) in North America and Roadrunner in all other territories. According to a press release, the follow-up to 2006's "Supremacy" is shaping up to be one of HATEBREED's "most ferocious albums ever."

The new album was once again produced by Chris "Zeuss" Harris at Planet Z studios in Hadley, Massachusetts and marks the return of original guitar player Wayne Lozinak (who recently replaced Sean Martin) alongside core members Chris Beattie (bass),Matt Byrne (drums),Frank "3 Gun" Novinec (guitar) and Jamey Jasta (vocals).

HATEBREED filmed a brand new video from their forthcoming studio album on July 30 at Webster Theatre in Hartford, Connecticut.
