PITCHSHIFTER To Reunite For U.K. Tour In Support Of Upcoming DVD
May 12, 2004PITCHSHIFTER will be breaking their indefinite hiatus to perform live at a handful of U.K. "DVD Release Party" shows in support of their "P.S.I.entology" DVD. The DVD is set to be released on October 11 on the band's own record label PSI Records. Main comes support from SIKTH. The dates are as follows:
Oct. 06 – Portsmouth, UK @ Pyramids
Oct. 07 – Cambridge, UK @ Junction
Oct. 08 – London, UK @ Astoria
Oct. 09 – Nottingham, UK @ Rock City
Oct. 10 – Wolverhampton, UK @ Wulfrun Hall
Commented PITCHSHIFTER vocalist J.S. Clayden: "Originally, we were just going to have a DVD 'play-back' party in the band's spiritual home town of Nottingham. That quickly turned into a one-off DVD release party show, which snowballed into a short run of DVD release party shows when the other venues got word. So here we are! The number of shows is limited to keep things special and we'll have the DVD with us so you can meet the band and get it signed."
Bassist Mark Clayden added: "We've all been very busy with our other projects and are looking forward to taking PITCHSHIFTER on the road again. We've done our best to make the DVD something special for the PITCHSHIFTER fans and so we knew we had to do something special for its release. The run of DVD release parties seemed the perfect choice. True fans can see the band play again and get a hold of the DVD early."
