PLACE VENDOME To Release 'Thunder In The Distance' In November
July 31, 2013PLACE VENDOME's third album, "Thunder In The Distance", will be released in early November via Frontiers Records. As on the band's the previous CDs, Michael Kiske (UNISONIC, ex-HELLOWEEN) sang on all the tracks, which were produced and mixed by Dennis Ward (PINK CREAM 69, UNISONIC). The songs were composed by different writers, including Magnus Karlsson (PRIMAL FEAR),Timo Tolkki (ex-STRATOVARIUS),Alessandro Del Vecchio (HARDLINE),Tommy Denander (RADIOACTIVE),Sören Kronqvist (SUNSTORM, ISSA),Andrea Cantarelli (LABYRINTH, A PERFECT DAY) and Brett Jones under the supervision of executive producer Serafino Perugino. Songtitles set to appear on "Thunder In The Distance" include "My Heart Is Dying", "Fragile Ground", "Break Out", "Maybe Tomorrow", "Power Of Music", "Lost In Paradise", "Hold Your Love", "It Can't Rain Forever" and the title track. Style-wise, the effort is described in a press release as "the logical continuation from where the previous album, 'Streets Of Fire', left off, with highly melodic rock anthems, some amazing power ballads and some interesting twists."
According to the Michael Kiske Official Fanclub, the rest of the recording lineup for PLACE VENDOME's third album consists of Uwe Reitenauer (PINK CREAM 69, SUNSTORM) on guitar, Gunter Werno (VANDEN PLAS) on keyboards and Dirk Bruinenberg (ELEGY, ADAGIO) on drums.
PLACE VENDOME's second album, "Streets Of Fire", was released in February 2009 through Frontiers.
