PLATITUDE: 'We Are Back In Business'

Swedish progressive power metal band PLATITUDE has issued the following update:

"We look at this brand new year and predict a wonderful year in the history of Platitude. Almost a year has gone by since our drummer Andreas left for Los Angeles, a year in which we have been taking it slow, playing with stand-in-drummers and giving other projects some well-deserved attention.

"Now, with this new year starting, we are back in business. The search for a new drummer is at full speed, new songs are in the making and a lot of energy has been put into building a bigger virtual home for PLATITUDE. The home site has a new design and will be constantly updated with the latest news. We also have a brand new MySpace page where you can interact with the members, get the latest info and listen to songs..

"New material is being written and it sounds like the next album will be somewhat heavier than the last ones. We will have to wait and see how fast we can find a suitable drummer, but our plan is to get out on the road later this year. We also have a song in the making, which we started on before Andreas left. It might appear online as a present to devoted fans in a near future, so keep your eyes open!"

PLATITUDE's latest album, "Silence Speaks", was issued in Europe in February 2006 via Germany's Metal Heaven. The follow-up to 2004's "Nine" was recorded at Panicroom Studios in Sweden and Jailhouse Studios in Denmark and was produced by Tommy Hansen and PLATITUDE. The mixing and mastering duties were handled by Hansen at Jailhouse.
