Two years after his dismissal from VELVET REVOLVER, singer Scott Weiland told Kerrang! magazine that he's no longer bitter about his parting with the group, reports The Pulse of Radio. Weiland was kicked out of the group in April 2008 after a series of disputes with bandmates Slash, Matt Sorum and Duff McKagan. Both sides fired shots at each other in the press, with Weiland taking especially sharp jabs at Slash and Sorum.
But now he says it's all behind him, explaining, "It was a great experience until near the end. I think we made some great music — and I actually prefer our second album to our first — and I don't hold any resentment towards any of the guys in the band. I really wish them all the best."
VELVET REVOLVER has yet to find a replacement for Weiland, although they've auditioned a handful of singers.
Weiland himself reunited with STONE TEMPLE PILOTS in 2008, with a new, self-titled album coming out on May 25.
