POISON Frontman Performs In Iraq; Video Available

October 10, 2007

Video footage of POISON frontman Bret Michaels performing for the troops in Iraq earlier this month can be viewed below. Scenes include Bret performing on stage, interviews with an officer and an enlisted soldier as well as crowd reactions during the show.

Michaels will return for another season of "Rock of Love", the reality show that pitted 20 women against each other as they competed to be Michaels' "rock star girlfriend."

VH1 reports Jes Rickleff, the woman who Michaels chose at the end of the first season, "proved she was not fit to handle Bret Michaels' rock-star lifestyle." The New York Post reported it was because Rickleff was involved with someone else.

The air date for "Rock of Love 2" has not yet been announced, but casting calls for the women have already begun.

Over 3.9 million total viewers tuned into the "Rock of Love with Bret Michaels" reunion special this past Sunday night (October 7) to learn that Bret's love match was a mismatch. The show earned a 2.6 rating in the key 18-49 demo, +71% above the show's season average and the second highest-rated episode of the series. The reunion special attracted 3.0 million P18-49 viewers and was the #1 non-sports telecast on cable for the week.

The season finale, which aired on Sunday, September 30 averaged 4.1 million viewers in the demo and attracted 5.4 million total viewers. It was also the #1 program on cable for the night, as well as the #1 non-sports program on cable for the week. In addition, the finale ranked as the #3 non- sports telecast on ad-supported cable for the entire year-to-date among P18-49 viewers.
