POISON's MICHAELS, MÖTLEY CRÜE's SIXX Interviewed On 'Good Day LA', 'Good Things Utah'
March 22, 2011POISON's Bret Michaels and MÖTLEY CRÜE's Nikki Sixx were interviewed on this past Thursday's (March 17) edition of "Good Day LA", a television talk show that airs on KTTV (Fox 11),the Fox Broadcasting Company-owned and operated station in Los Angeles, California. You can now watch the chat below. Also available is footage of Michaels' and Sixx's March 17, 2011 appearance on "Good Things Utah" on ABC 4 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Sixx recently said about CRÜE's decision to tour with POISON and "special guest" NEW YORK DOLLS, "One of the things MÖTLEY CRÜE said was that we would never tour with POISON because we were sort of punk / heavy metal / glam, we came out of the very, very early '80s and took what we did very... it was very important to us. And then bands came after us and we wanted to kind of separate from them. And we had never planned on touring with any of the bands from that era. There was no animosity — it was just that we put a very clear line. But when the [NEW YORK] DOLLS signed on, it made it seem like it was the right time to do that this tour."
When reporters recently asked Bret Michaels if there was any bad blood between the bands, Michaels laughed: "There may be some friendly competition but there is no bad blood at all on my part. Nikki and I have spoken several times on the phone recently and the conversations went great." Michaels continued, "Music is a universal language and I am extremely excited that this tour has come together as are the fans, they are truly going to see a great show. Honestly, I could care less about all the mudslinging, it gets nobody nowhere, and after all I have been through health wise in the last year, I am going to try to focus on what does matter which is the show, the fans, fun and personally throwing a hell of a backstage party."
